Prerequisites: Computer Basics or equivalent.
Description
Most computers come with an office suite that includes a spreadsheet program, word processing program, and presentation program. The most common office suite is Microsoft Office. In five two-hour workshops, volunteers will show you how to use these programs to their best advantage to make your home office life easier and more organized.
- Workshop 1: Overview. Learn how the ribbons work in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. (1 Session) ($10)
- Workshop 2: Excel. Learn how to use a spreadsheet program to organize complex data and make calculations on the fly. (1 Session) ($10)
- Workshop 3: Word. Learn how to use Word to write letters, make lists and tables, and create simple graphic designs. (1 Session) ($10)
- Workshop 4: PowerPoint. Learn how to use PowerPoint to deliver a message to your audience with words and pictures. (1 Session) ($10)
- Workshop 5: OpenOffice. Discover OpenOffice, a free office suite that includes spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation programs, as well as Google Docs, a free word processing program that enables you to share documents on the cloud. (1 Session) ($10)
