Adrian's interest in computers was enhanced when he retired from the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences in 1989 and he had time to devote to the intricacies of the subject.  His interest in art and sculpture, two of many hobbies, led him to exploring CorelDraw and, in turn, to his involvment with Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. His financial records are kept on a Quicken program, which he teaches occasionally.  He maintains a strong interest in the investments and finance board of AOL's SeniorNet section and has benefited financially from the interaction with other participants there.
