Courses, Seminars and Assisted Practice

Our courses are designed to give students the maximum hands-on experience. The view on the instructor's computer is displayed on a large projection screen so students can follow along. There are 12 computers available for student use during class so, unless the course registration exceeds 12, every student has a computer to work on. The number of computers does not restrict Seminar class size. The cost for all courses is $75, unless otherwise stated. Each class lasts about two hours. Most courses meet once a week for six weeks.

Buying and Selling on eBay: Workshop	Find bargains and get rid of your old stuff on eBay. (Four two-hour classes - $40.)
Computers and the Internet 101	Learn to use the Internet and send and receive electronic mail even if you've never used a computer before. Take this course or Introduction to Personal Computers if you have no experence with personal computers.
Computers and the Internet 201	Develop your Internet skills further. Covers on-line shopping, scrap booking, photo books and other advanced topics. Best for students who have completed Computers and the Internet 101.
Computer Basics	Learn to use a modern personal computer with the Windows Vista operating system even if you've never touched one before. Take this course or Computers and the Internet 101 if you have no experience with personal computers.
Digital Photography	Learn to get photographs into and out of your personal computer.
Digitizing Old Photos	Learn to digitze, organize and preserve precious prints, negatives and slides.
Fun with Graphics - Intermediate	Advanced photo editing with Photoshop Elements 6.0 and Corel Painter.
Intermediate Computer Operations	Expand your knowledge of personal computers. Manage your desktop, file folders and system configuration.
Introduction to the Internet	Learn how to connect to the Internet, communicate with electronic mail and get information from the world-wide web.
Successful Scanning	Use an inexpensive scanner to expand the functionality of your personal computer. (Two two-hour classes - $20)
Word Processing	Produce good-looking documents of all types using Microsoft Word

FREE Assisted Practice is available to current and former students whenever the Center is open and a class is NOT scheduled.
